The Celestron C5 spotting scope is a50x spotting scope with a 5-inch (127 mm) aperture and a 1250-mm focal length f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system. The Celestron C5 spotting scope weighs six pounds and is 11 inches long, a completely portable observational and photographic instrument. The 5-inch aperture means that it has 4.5 times more light gathering capacity than a 60-mm spotting scope, and 2.5 times more than an 80-mm scope. The Celestron C5 spotter delivers brilliant, crisp images for either terrestrial or celestial viewing. Photography couldn't be easier as the C5 Spotter is fully camera adaptable. Just attach the appropriate optional T-adapter and T-ring for your 35-mm SLR camera to the back of the C5 spotting scope, and you're ready to shoot. The tripod mount on the C5's tube easily attaches the scope to a tripod for either viewing or photography. The C5 Spotter comes complete inside its own soft sided carrying case.
