Vortex Diamondback HD 12x50 Binoculars may be the only 12x50 binocular with a 6' close focus. This view is aided by phase-correction and dielectric coated prisms and lens coatings designed to take advantage of the prisms, resulting in increased brightness, sharpness, and color rendition. External lenses are protected by Vortex's ArmorTek scratch-resistant and oil and dirt repellent coating. In addition to the 6' close focus, the field of view is 271' at 1000 yds, and the eye relief is 14mm. The magnesium chassis is rubber armored, waterproof and argon filled, yet weighs only 28.9 ounces. There are 8x42s that weigh more. The 50mm models come with the GlassPak case and harness system, as well as the standard strap, so you get your choice of how to wear it.
