The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Pro Thermal Binocular uses the NETD <25mK NETD thermal imaging sensor, greatly improving resolution, delivering the smallest temperature difference readings to the image, even in smoke, fog, or precipitation. Thermal binoculars operate both day or night because the imaging is based on an IR sensor, not ambient visible and near IR. The "LRF" in the name refers to a built-in laser rangefinder, which operates in either Single or Scanning modes, each accurate to ±1m at ranges up to 2000m.
The Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Pro ranges from 2.5x to 20x via digital zoom. Pixel resolution is 640x480 to each eye, at a 50Hz frame rate. 8 color palettes are available, including black, red, or white hot, and a variety of other colors let you fine tune for the heat signature you're viewing. These palettes are displayed below. The body is IPX7 waterproof when the Li-ion Battery Pack IPS7 / 6400 mAh / DC 3.7 V battery is installed. Built-in WiFi lets you share your sightings in real time, streaming to your smart device using the included Stream Vision App, and the video will appear smooth thanks to the 50Hz refresh rate. Objective lenses are 50mm f/1.2 for outstanding light gathering and transmission. Picture-in-picture 2.5-20x digital zoom with a 12.4° field of view gives extensive control over framing.
