The Leupold Gold Ring 20-60x80 Spotting Scope embodies the full range of Leupold's advanced optical technologies and packs them into an armored magnesium alloy body that is lightweight, waterproof, fogproof, and easy to handle. Leupold outfitted this Golden Ring series scope with their Xtended Twilight lens system with wavelength specific lens coatings designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths for brighter, clearer images from dawn till dusk. The prism-less Folded Light Path (FLP) system uses mirrors to compress a long optical system into half its length so that the Golden Ring spotting scope is that much more portable. Rubberized ridges on the zoom wheel and a textured focus dial provide tactile feedback that is especially useful when making field of view adjustments in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. The scope's eyepiece has a fold-up/down rubber eye cup and 30mm eye relief that provides a comfortable viewing distance even for eyeglass wearers. Additionally the Golden Ring is compatible with an optional digiscoping adapter that allows the viewer to capture the transmitted image using their digital camera.
