The Leica Geovid-R 8x42 Rangefinding Binoculars - Yards w/ EHR combines the image quality, power, and, fully multi-coated optic with the included tool of a 1200-yard Rangefinder w/ integrated ballistics calculator to create their 8x42 Geovid Binocular/Rangefinder. Using an infrared laser rangefinder and a built-in inclinometer, the on-board computer adjusts the displayed range for more precise shot placement when shooting up or downhill, and an in-view four-character LED display allows the observer to view the range without having to take their eyes off the subject.
The Leica Geovid gets you over the hills with larger 42mm objective lens, powerful 8x magnification. In conjunction with this lens system, you get Leica's proprietary anti-reflection lens coatings helps to boost light transmission, and improve color and contrast, even at long distances. Excellent low-light performance during the pre-dawn and post-dusk hours extends its usability, helping you better see where, and when the game is hiding. Aluminum alloy and rubber armor protect the optics and electronics is a lightweight with nitrogen-filled for fogproof tubes and waterproof performance in extreme conditions. Because of the size, weight, and high magnification, the Geovid is outfitted with a tripod adapter mount to allow users to attach it to a support system. Using a tripod not only avoids fatigue, but with magnifications this powerful hand-shake tends to become more noticeable so mounting the binocular will increase the glassing experience greatly.
