Leica Geovid HD Rangefinding Binoculars
The Leica Geovid HDs are high-quality binoculars with a laser rangefinder built into them. Leica Geovid HD binoculars come with either 42- or 56-mm objective lenses. The 42-mm HD Geovids are available in either 8x or 10x forms, while the 56-mm HD Geovids are made in 8x or 15x versions. Each of the four Geovid HD models is offered calibrated in meters or yards. All Leica Geovid HDs are roof prism binoculars with Leica’s normal optical excellence, featuring the finest glass, P40 phase coating on the prisms, and Leica’s HDC full multi-coating on the lenses. Geovid HD rangefinders operate in scanning mode and have a working range of about 10-1300 yards with an accuracy of 0.25-0.5% over the entire range. The digital readout of the Geovid HDs is by LED, visible in any light and powered by lithium batteries good for roughly 2000 measurements. The measurement lag time is about 1.4 seconds. Leica Geovid HD binoculars feature the usual refinements with sliding eyecups that adjust to multiple positions, broad interpupillary distance range, and sealed, nitrogen-filled chassis that are waterproof to a depth of 16.5 feet and internally fog-proof as well.
