Fujinon Techno-Stabi 12x28 Image Stabilized Binoculars

The Fujifilm Techno-Stabi 12x28 Binoculars are a very lightweight imaged stabilized binocular. The light weight comes from reducing the objective lenses from the previous 32mm to 28mm and making the chassis out of fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate. This results in a weight that is just under 15 oz. without its 1 CR2 battery. The TS 12x28 has a vibration reduction range of ±3°, which is perfect for long term long distance viewing from a stable platform without a tripod, or for people with a mild tremor. These are not sufficiently stabilized for use on rough seas. When inactive for more than 10 minutes, the TS 12x28 goes into a sleep mode where the vibration compensation turns off to preserve battery power. The unusual design incorporates phase-corrected BK-7 roof prisms in the main body and BaK-4 porro prisms in the eyepieces to allow for adjusting of the interpupillary distance through the 55mm to 75mm range. The Techno-Stabi 12x28 comes with a case, neck strap, and individual eyepiece covers. There are no objective covers but the objective lenses are recessed to prevent dirt or moisture from falling on the lenses.
