The new patented Direct Contact Pipe System of the Ultra MAXi allows the user to extend and lock the tripod's five section legs at any point with a unique Quick Twist n' Lock mechanism in the leg pipe. Each leg section locks by twisting clockwise and unlocks when twisting the leg pipe counterclockwise.
