The Minox HG 8x56 BR binocular is the full-sized version of this European manufacturer’s premier binocular line. The HG 8x56 BR binocular is made with the finest glass and uses aspherical lens elements to improve edge-to-edge clarity. The phase coating and Mino-Bright reflective coating (silver-based coating guarantees an improvement of up to 99.8 percent efficiency of the light reflected at the mirror surface) and the innovative 21 layers of M* multi-coating all give the Minox 8x56 HG BR binoculars maximum light transmission and contrast.
With a compact, durable magnesium frame, the Minox 8x56 HG BR binocular weighs just 28 oz. Minox HG binoculars maximize user comfort with features like 4-position, adjustable eyecups and a fully-locking diopter adjustment. The QCF variable-speed focus system on HG binoculars provides rapid and precise focus from minimum close focus to infinity with just one full turn of the knob (faster at 20-30 feet and slower at further distances.) A thoughtful range-finding scale on the knob allows viewers to take distance readings at a glance. Fully sealed and argon-filled, Minox HG 8x56 BR binoculars are internally fog-proof and waterproof to a depth of 16 feet. Made in Germany.
my favorite standard size bin
personally own several of this size...accumulated them as pricing was too good to not buy it.. they are purged with Argon gas and are encased in magnesim that is rubber coated for grip. Try them at least if you're shopping: they use Schott lenses: Carl Zeiss so clearity is in these bins.
A system I found in a birding magazine: brace these with your thumbs on your zygomatic arch and build a triangle on your face. Obviates the need for a monopole or a tripod.
Say thank you and be nice to someone, today.
