Leica Geovid HD Series Range-finding Binoculars

The Leica Geovid HD 8x42 is a hybrid binocular with an intrinsic rangefinder. Leica Geovid HDs are roof prism binoculars, complete with all of the usual refinements, including P40 phase-coated prisms and full HDC multi-coating on 7 lens elements in each barrel. The 8x42 HD Geovids have a 368-foot field of view at 1000 yards, and offer 18 mm of eye relief and multi-position eyecups. Leica Geovid HDs are completely sealed and nitrogen-purged to be fog-proof and waterproof to a depth of 16.5 feet. The 8x42 HD Geovid weighs 33.5 oz. including the batteries. The rangefinder on the Geovid HD 8x42 functions from about 10 to 1300 yards at an accuracy of +/- 0.25-0.5%, providing read-out with a bright LED. The Geovid HD rangefinder operates in scanning mode and is powered by lithium batteries good for about 2000 measurements, and the system operates with a 1.4 second (maximum) lag time.
