The 8-12x42 Leica Duovid binoculars are a perfect mix of flexibility and high-level functionality. With the ability to switch between 8x and 12x magnifications, the Leica Duovid permits the user to select the right binocular for the field conditions at hand. At 8x, the Leica Duovid has a 351-foot field of view at 1000 yards and a minimum close focus of 11 feet. In addition to providing the brilliant crisp views that Leica is renowned for, the 8-12x42 Duovid binocular have many ergonomic refinements to increase user comfort. The 8-12x42 Leica Duovid are roof prism binoculars made with the P40 phase coating and Leica’s HighLux system to maximize light gathering while minimizing stray light issues. To this, Leica adds their HDC multi-coating to the 11 lens elements in each barrel for unsurpassed clarity and image sharpness. The Leica Duovid 8-12x42 binocular weighs 37 oz. and is sealed and nitrogen-filled to be waterproof to an industry-best 16.5 foot depth as well as internally fog proof. With eye relief of 14.5 mm and an interpupillary range of 55-74 mm, the 8-12x42 Leica Duovid binocular should be comfortable in anyone’s hands. The Leica Duovid 8-12x42 binocular comes with a neoprene carrying strap, contoured rainguard and Nappa leather case.
