Easy operation: Separate, top-mounted on/off buttons energize the unit, and, for safety, the ON button glows dimly to signal that the device is on. At the "business end" of the unit, a rotating knob lets you select red or white light. The red even has three stages of brightness, so you can select the degree of night vision you want to retain.
