With the Image Stabilizer engaged, vertical and horizontal gyros detect motion in any direction. The amount of shake is calculated by a microcomputer and the shake is optimally counteracted by either a set of Vari-Angle Prisms or by a Tilt mechanism. The result is a clear and steady image.
