| This is a Striped Owl. I have looked for this owl several times, in many places, without success. I've even been in the exact place where this photo was taken and not found a thing. This trip, we found four different individuals during our first night in Costa Rica. It was worth the wait and effort. This beautiful bird is about the size of a Barn Owl (14 inches). |
